COMMENCEMENT DAY

Graduates, please arrive on time at Cleary Commons.

Arrive at Cleary Commons dressed for commencement between
8-8:15 AM Eastern
Cleary Commons is located on our Howell Campus. Please review the campus map for location.
Line up begins at 9:10 AM
The Commencement Ceremony starts at 10 AM
The Commencement Ceremony will be held outdoors at Lake Trust Stadium, located on our Howell Campus.

Commencement Ceremony photos and other photo-ops

Bring your phones, but put them on silent mode. We encourage you to take as many photos as you like!
Cleary University also will provide a photographer during the Commencement Ceremony. Photos will be posted on the Cleary website and available FREE for download by Saturday, May 13, 2023.
There will be several photo-ops the day of the Commencement Ceremony, including selfie stations and Snapchat filters. Please tag us or use the hashtag #ClearyGrads2023 so that we can share in your special day!

For those who cannot attend in person, we will live-stream the
Commencement Ceremony.

Dress appropriately for the day.

Come dressed for the Commencement Ceremony with your caps, gowns, and hoods (for master’s students).
Wear flat-soled shoes to avoid damaging the artificial turf of the stadium. Please let your guests know this as well. Those with high heels will not be permitted on the stadium turf.
Wear pants in case it is windy that day.
Be prepared to lock your belongings, bags, purses, etc. in your car. You will be given a bag as part of the graduate package to carry your Commencement Ceremony items.

Please pick up the following items at Cleary Commons upon check-in:

Honor cords and medallions (if you earned them)
Student gift package
Commencement Ceremony card with your name and degree information. You will give this to the announcer when you walk onto the stage.

Check-in is required to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

Drinks and snacks will be provided during check-in. No alcoholic drinks are allowed inside Cleary Commons during the event.

NOTE: Diplomas are sent to graduating students after all graduation requirements are met (i.e. completing graduation application and paying any outstanding balances including the graduation fee).
