HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR YOUR UPCOMING COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

Hello Graduating Student!

You are in the home stretch, and we are ramping up for your Commencement Ceremony! Here are answers to some frequently asked questions to help you and your guests prepare for the day:

BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

1. RSVP for commencement.

Please limit your number of guests to six.
If you or your guest(s) require support services, please indicate the need on your RSVP and we will connect with you for further assistance.
Stadium ushers will be available to help seat guests if needed.
Digital programs will be available to guests via a QR code found around the stadium. Guests will not receive a printed copy, but you will in your graduate package.

2. Order your cap and gown by April 9.

Visit the Oakhalli website
- Associate’s graduates will wear black caps and gowns
- Bachelor’s graduates will wear red caps and gowns
- Master’s graduates will wear navy blue caps and gowns
Graduates must order their caps and gowns by Tuesday, April 9, 2024, to ensure delivery prior to Commencement day.
You will only pay for shipping and any additional items that you buy.
Bring your cap/gown (and hood for master’s graduates) to commencement that morning.
Caps and gowns will not be available at commencement.
Do not order Honor cords and/or Veteran cords – they will be given out at the registration desk upon check in.

3. Order announcements, if you like.

COMMENCEMENT DAY

4. Graduates, please arrive on time at Cleary Commons.

Arrive at Cleary Commons dressed for commencement between
8-8:15 AM Eastern
Cleary Commons is located on our Howell Campus. Please review the campus map for location.
Line up begins at 9:10 AM
The Commencement Ceremony starts at 10 AM
The Commencement Ceremony will be held outdoors at Lake Trust Stadium, located on our Howell Campus.

5. Commencement Ceremony photos and other photo-ops will

be available.

Bring your phones, but put them on silent mode. We encourage you to take as many photos as you like!
Cleary University also will provide a photographer during the Commencement Ceremony. Photos will be posted on the Cleary website and available FREE for download by Saturday, May 11, 2024.
There will be several photo-ops the day of the Commencement Ceremony, including selfie stations. Please tag us or use the hashtag #ClearyGrads2024 so that we can share in your special day!

6. For those who cannot attend in person, we will live-stream the
Commencement Ceremony.

7. Help your guests understand where to park.

8. Dress appropriately for the day.

Come dressed for the Commencement Ceremony with your caps, gowns, and hoods (for master’s students).
Wear flat-soled shoes to avoid damaging the artificial turf of the stadium. Please let your guests know this as well. Those with high heels will not be permitted on the stadium turf.
Wear pants in case it is windy that day.
Don't bring in anything you can't fit in your pocket! Leave purses and bags locked in your vehicle or at home, as you will not be permitted to walk with bags in tow.

9. Please pick up the following items at Cleary Commons

upon check-in:

Honor cords and medallions (if you earned them)
Commencement Ceremony card with your name and degree information. You will give this to the announcer when you walk onto the stage.

Check-in is required to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

Drinks and snacks will be provided during check-in. No alcoholic drinks are allowed inside Cleary Commons during the event.

NOTE: Students will receive both an eDiploma and a printed diploma when all degree requirements have been fulfilled and all outstanding financial balances (including the graduation fee) have been paid in full. This process takes approximately 1 month after final semester grades are submitted.
